 We live in Cambridgeshire between Newmarket and Cambridge. Unable to get to Dartmoor only twice a year if we are lucky, then only for a week at a time. But it's all worth the wait no matter how many letterboxes we find.

Plymuff here
I live a little way off, in Canberra, Australia.
It takes me a little while to get to the moors, (2 days flying plus motoring from Canberra to Sydney, Heathrow to Ivybridge) but still manage it every 2 years or so. :)

Gemma - nice to hear from you.
Not sure I know where Dorest is though! (only joking - I assume this meant to be Dorset - a very lovely place place area to live - second only to devon - particularly Dartmoor hey?
Have a nice New Year!

About 18,500 km's or 11,500 miles is about how far I am :D
That'd be turn right at Australia and head for two islands - The Land of the Long White Cloud

And I'm just that little bit closer.
Head for the big bit down south and keep going to the bottom right hand corner. I'm in the Big Smoke there!

Teignmouth for us ( clues in the name, much less enigmatic than some I have seen for letterboxs). Sadly a combination of sickness and car problems have kept us off the moor for over a week, hopefully we can rectify it this week.

My (Mike) family roots are firmly in the moor, traced it back to the 15th century - Smerdon is my surname, anybody guess/know which part of the moor I'm from? (I think there is at least 15 gravestones in the church yard)

I'm new :D grew up in Plymouth - wasn't really interested in the moors, a few walks round Burrator and a charity letterbox trail on a horrible day with my mum in a foul mood......now have a 5 year old son and 6 year old nephew and the 3 of us have been seriously bitten by the bug this summer - you could say obsessed. Unfortunately we live in Wiltshire now  fortunately my parents are still in Plymouth :) .
I now dream of moving to Widecombe  .
