Some would say, without a thought, that anyone going out in predicted bad weather is mad. My mind is that there is a fine dividing line between mad and dedicated.

I read lots of posts on forums and are convinced that those who consider themselves dedicated will go out, get soaking wet ,and wish they had stayed at home. The 'mad ones' will go out, get wet, get a few stamps and say they enjoyed the challenge.(no sense no feeling used to be the old saying - sorry but no offence meant - got to be PC these days !)

Me - would prefer to stay at home, cut a new stamp,or paint a picture, and plan the walk another day. But then - I am retired! Ha! Ha!

'Do your own thing - nobody else is going to do it for you!'

Just a thought

I would say carry on!!! Look at what happened today - weathermen said torrential rain, gale force winds - yet only a few drops of rain fell here and when I checked the Web Cam at Postbridge - hardly a drop fell on the moors either :( What a waste of a day's walking and letterboxing

I have been out in blizzards where visibilty was a couple of feet, torrential rain nearly all the way to Cranmere Pool, pea soup fog, 100 degree heat, sub-zero temperatures, thunderstorms, 87 mph winds and hail.

With the exception of hail I have loved every minute of it - Hailstones hurt! Perhaps the most dangerous is the least obvious and that is high temperatures as I tend to dehydrate a lot and not realise how much I have dehydrated

Was a lovely day was it not! Sure glad I was not out in it on the Moors - makes sense to look at the weather forecast!

A fair weather boxer I see....

TBH I don't blame you it is better to be safe than lost or putting your self in danger - a good call them boxes can wait for another day
