The carving skills ( and tools) newly gained by making stamps have come in very handy for carving a pumpkin.

No longer content just a jack o lantern, this year I've gone for a spider in a web.

It looks great. the carving tools go through pumpkin rind rather nicely and give very clean defined edge to lines.

no photo yet, but it did win 3rd prize.

I think the judges liked BIG pumpkins best...
