Has anyone ventured out in these freezing conditions yet???? Looked on Webcam and this morning the wind chill was -12 - that's cold :? Wonder if the boxes are frozen in their holes yet :roll:

I was up there on sunday for a few hours, there was a bit of snow on the ground.
The coldest it got was -3.5 so it was cold but not to cold!!!

yes it is too cold for the moors,shame i got loads of walks
Up the hill at the weekend, yep, was pretty chilly,windy and nice snow on ground. Snow is still lying today.
Couldn't find the rocks, never mind work out if they were PVC or had holes under or what ever. Plugged boxes you had no hope at all with.

I had the same problem. The cat may have to be Rewritten to have PSC instead of PVC.

Braved the elements last Sunday for what turned out to be an excellent walk. We weren't sure about venturing into the moor with cars as the weather seemed a tad unpredictable, so parked up near the Edgemoor Hotel (Bovey Tracey) and walked up the Templar Way to Haytor. As we climbed it got a little chillier and more white - but we were greeted with clear blue sky at the top (even if the eyes were streaming a little in the cold). We were not 'boxing' as such but did wonder if any boxes were located along this route. Turned out to be a pretty and perfect day. Felt very lucky and privileged to be in this part of the world.

Got a simple remedy as to the weather conditions. Look outside at the winter pansies - lying low on the soil in their tubs, and all forlorn - also the cyclamen in their pots. Too cold for them - too cold for me!

Had a few runs in it - good running temperatures. Will be playing in the slight dusting today with my kids (Tavi Comp probably shut) then out for a run and some photos. Best of all, I sure nobody else will be :D
