Frustrating as hell, I cannot wait to feel the sod of the moors beneath my feet again...
Does anyone else feel like this?

I'm definitely with you Nik. I find myself yearning to be out on the moors some days. For us, we must be patient, just another week to wait...

I am up there most Fridays Saturdays and Sundays, so what is stopping you Nik? Work? I feel your pain ................. work SUCKS
HOWEVER this Sunday I will be treading more hallowed ground THRUXTON ahhh the smell of burning tortured motorbike engines. The scream of an engine near its life's end, pushed to the limit of endurance buy a fearless demi-god. The ear splitting noise of one hobby compliments perfectly the deafening silence of the other. (excitement and tranquillity)
The YING and the YANG?

Peace and quiet of the moors for me - get very frustrated if I can't have my weekly 'fix'. Try and get up there at least twice a week. Glad I went up there before all this rain came again.
You may bump into my daughter up at Thruxten, never in a month of Sundays would you get me amongst that lot

What is stopping me? London isn't exactly on the doorstep... mores the pity and with no thanks to this government allowing petrol prices to rocket has almost doubled the cost of driving down and back which has made it prohibitive... but having said that...
I WILL BE THERE NEXT WEEKEND!!!

This has been the first Easter that we haven't been down for many years. We long to get up on The Moors especially as we now have a new member of the crew - Bramble - a border collie who we have rescued from Ireland.
We needed her to settle in and I still need to recover from a dislocated shoulder (the dog and a friend managed to take my legs from under me! ) So hopefully next school hols we'll be down and Bramble can have her first taste of Dartmoor air ..... hmmm i can smell it now :D

OMG! I am so excited as Joe & I have booked a cottage for a week, at the end of August, RIGHT ON THE EDGE OF THE MOORS!!!!! It's in Tavistock and it has everything we need. 7 DAYS of the moors being on our door step is making me feel sick with excitment!!!
I know other members of the forum will fully understand what Im going on about! Usually we stay with my mum in Teignmouth and box for about 2/3 days each visit. I am so looking forward to planning where to go, knowing we have plenty of days to explore other areas too..... oh Im off day dreaming now! Roll on August ... and hopefully meet some of you out and about there. :D

Maybe you can hint on the areas you will be boxing in and perhaps those reading this will pass on some clues to you. Hope you have a great time whatever.
