I would like to walk from across the moor, I thought Lydford to Postbridge. Does any one have preferred route to take or even south to north walk Letterboxing on way of course

You could do the Perambulation of the moor which is described on the Bounders letterboxing site - www.ian.kirkpatrick2.btinternet.co.uk/page3.htm

That will give you a route with plenty of boxes to pick up on the way.

Some years ago my Son-in-Law wanted a trek across the Moor and I took something on the line of the Perambulation then deviated towards Princetown.

Parked at Belstone village. Went thence across the Taw and up to Cosdon via Foxes Holt, passing the Cemetary, onward to Little Hound Tor, Whitmoor Stone, Hound Tor, Wild Tor, Watern Tor, Hawthorn Clitter, Manga Farm, Quintins Man, Kit Rocks, Rough Tor, Crow Tor,Bearsdown,Holming Beam and then to Princetown.

For these areas box to your hearts content but how long is the trip planned for!

The Lych way run from Lydford to Postbridge and beyond. I think I might prefer to go the other way and make the best of gravity though :)
