It is nothing to do with me!
But, is anyone else seeing this as a highlighted word or two in their text?
Personally I find it annoying because sometimes it can be very inappropriate

Yes I do, put the mouse on the highlighted word an a advert comes up with,
a chance to win a IPHONE.
It’s a pain in the bum. I have checked my virus checker, but it still comes up.

I have not looked through the other posts yet, but I suspect there are a few trigger words that will set it off.... if it helps pay the costs to host the site then I will endeavour to put up with it.

I've not seen anything like that in legit posts, but I use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer and have the Adblocker add-on installed, which tends to silently eat nearly all adverts. Might be worth a try?

Nor me not seen any words when hover over.
Use IE no ad blocker.
I don't see them. I don't see ghosts either :-)
