As the Meet is this weekend, sadly I can't make it - stinking cold, lack of cash and a large distance I'll be giving it a miss this year.
But I wish everyone a good time

I went, so who else went?
Anybody see a big bullmastiff there?
That was Reg!
He is my DOG :D

I went to the Meet and enjoyed the time spent there though maybe not as long as in previous years! Seemed relatively quiet for the time we got there (just after 11 o'c). May be it is because the school half term / holiday coincided; no Catalogue sale , older boxers 'retiring', weather forecast, or what?
Talking to the stall holders and fellow boxers it was pretty quiet all morning - not the usual hub, cramped in and struggling to get to the clue sheets or stalls - or even just walking around - this was done at leisure this time!
Still, it was good to see some old faces have a chat etc.

I got there about 2ish as had a tennis match in the morning. I also remarked on how quiet it was - still it was nice to buy the walks and talk to the stall holders without getting crushed. Plenty of room to park as well. Lovely to talk to old boxers that I never seem to bump into on the moors. (sorry I missed you Reg  would have loved to see your dog - hope he's feeling better) Sorry I missed you as well Frank, and Colin. Never mind theres always the spring meet to look forward too. Had a lovely walk today in the sun doing the Inns charity walk - that only leaves me one more to do at Harford Moor.

I wonder if the hall at Lee Moor is really appropriate? I am not saying it is a terrible place, far from it. But is it really accessible to all and sundry like Princetown is?
Time for a poll methinks

You could be right there Nik - when it was in Princetown there was always plenty to do around the town if the weather was too bad for walking. But I think the cost of hire of hall and equipment put the end to it being there. We did suggest everyone pay £1 at the door to help out, but as people tend to come and go during the day, very difficult to minitor.
