ANOTHER AREA BEING CLOSED DOWN TO WALKERS

We went out from New Waste on Sunday. They have signs up saying that the agreement to use the car park ceases on 24 June and thereafter parking will no longer be allowed although footpath access will continue. Nothing about where else you can park! As far as I know there is very little alternative parking in that area - certainly nothing anywhere near as convenient. Not being able to park there means unless you are very fit no one will be able to walk up the Erme to Hillsons House, Bledge Brook, The Meadow area of the South moor.

Coupled with impassable road to Lambs Down and dodgy road to West Rook Gate it seems we are slowly being restricted with access to the south moor.

That is definitely not good news :(

I walked to hillsons house and Stalldown stone row via tristis rock on Tuesday. There is room for 1 car by the gate next to Harford bridge. I walked back to my car along the lanes from new waste. I saw all the signs at new waste yet there was one car parked there still??! All the gateways along that lane have big boulders placed to stop parking. It's such a shame more wasn't done to save this parking area. Like others have said there is not much parking choice on this part of the more now.
