I (just me at the moment) am after any ideas that we could do with improving the site to make it better or more appealing.

I have a idea or two... but I want yours first to see if they are better than mine

Perhaps the site could learn a thing or two from Social Hiking: Sharing your outdoor adventures (live or afterwards) on a map with embedded tweets (www.Twitter.com, anyone?), photos, videos & audio. See [url=http://www.shareyouradventure.com/map/51358/martin_free/13th-August-2014][url]http://www.shareyouradventure.com/map/51358/martin_free/13th-August-2014 for an example of how it works for them.

It would require a smartphone, internet access and various apps though, and inevitably alienate a significant proportion of the letterboxing fraternity...

Which leads me on to my second suggestion. The need to encourage more kids to go letterboxing, after all we need the next generation to be heavily involved if this hobby is going to grow and flourish. Letterboxing.org (the North American equivilant site) has this: [url=http://www.letterboxing.org/kids/kids2.htm][url]http://www.letterboxing.org/kids/kids2.htm Something to consider perhaps??

Dartmoorletterboxing.org certainly could do with a refresh. The homepage has too many outdated or dead links despite a great url and readership.

Letterboxers are a secretive bunch really. A good, active, and well moderated (as it is now!) forum might just be enough! ;)

I am so painfully aware that the site is out of date with the home page, sadly I have no access to that, so cannot update it... though I wish I could
