For the first time, we'll be down on Dartmoor for New Year. I'm planning on heading to Fur Tor (North) for the New Year's Day meet up. Is anyone else planning on going? It would be good to put some faces to the names on here.

I'll be heading out from Baggator. If it's not raining I plan to start earlyish (with the usual caveats!) and pick up a few boxes around Lynch Tor on the way if anyone would like to join me.

:cry: Fur tor North too far for me these days, but may try the other meet on Fur Tor South. This is much better for us older boxers, then off to the pubs in Princetown for food!!! If wet most people meet up in the Prince of Wales for 12 noon.

Hi all,
all being well we will be taking out the special stamp out to Fur Tor (N) for the day- on behalf on the Dartmoor Bounders- hopefully leaving from Baggator- so if you get there early please try and leave a space for the parking- lets hope the weather is better this year!!

:cry: Good Luck to one and all no matter which way you go in to Fur Tor North. Weather forecast not so good for Sunday though.I may not even make it to Fur tor south - mist and fog rolling in. Typical Dartmoor weather then. Shame as it sun all around on Monday.

I finally got out to the meeting at the North tor. I arrived at 11:10 and stayed for 55 minutes. I didn't catch many names, but it was good to see people there. Also good to finally have a Fur Tor stamp in my book.
How was the meet up at the South tor? I popped into the Prince of Wales when I got back to Princetown but, understandably, there were no boxers still there.

Thanks Maureen. My fourth visit to Fur Tor on 1 January. I have been rained on every time and I've yet to get a view from the top, though it might have been marginally less wet and windy than last year. One day....
