Drones are banned from the moor

Good news or not? I sort of like the idea of being able to take pictures with a drone, even though I don't own one. But I can also see the reason why the DPA wants to ban the use of them. Afterall they banned the use of model aircraft on Hanger Down

However, if you want to use one on the moor you can apply to the DPA

I have mixed feelings about this. I've seen some amazing photography achievable only by drone, but I've also heard reports of people using them to worry sheep and scare ponies for fun. A ban was inevitable, but it will be difficult to enforce.

Now, maybe they can also ban those flying lawmower things - paragliders...
