This has been suggested before - barbecue springs to mind on a beach last year?? Quite a good idea though.

A good idea! I'd like to meet everyone on here, especially after all the months we have all exchanged thoughts and ideas together. I don't know if I can allow you all to have a BBQ on the beaches here in Torbay though, I will have to check with my boss over that one!
Permission will have to be sort over that one with the appropiate council.

Sounds ideal! I might not be able to make it though due to working funny shifts but I'm sure it will be a great evening chatting to everyone!
Cheers

A get together is a good idea - but some of us are going to be crippled by the distances involved - I believe the best time to meet is at the meet or the night before - but If you wanna do it before by a meet in a pub or wherever - no problem - but sadly I wont be there  cos London is just a bit too far to go....

Good idea -but lots of people I don't know - bit scarey  - I will work on being brave and try to come if something is arranged. :)

We'd both be up for a BBQ sometime (work committments depending)!
Princetown sounds a good location as it's fairly central to the moor for those coming in different directions, and also handy for a bit of letterboxing!

Don't worry Jo, I feel the same way, but checking at work today I might be able to take a week off so if you want we can go in together.

Hi Jo!
We haven't met anyone from the forum yet either, but will obviously meet up with you and Fulchet very soon, so four of us will not be complete strangers! We're looking forward to it! :D

Thanks James and Jenny, The walk to Cranmere Pool should definitely be a good icebreaker - I intend sitting down next week and sorting some clues out for it. Once I've typed them in - I'll email them to you and Tina. Lets hope this lovely weather continues - and we can have a rain free day.
And, Thanks Dizzy, that is a very kind offer and much appreciated - if you are able to make the gathering I will take you up on it.
I'm feeling much braver already! :D

Did anything ever come of this, any regular meets, maybe even regional one? I'd be up for anywhere on or near the Moor
