Wish I'd found this thread before our last trip to Datrmoor. 'vcr' had us completely stymied.
Brought back memories of VHS and Betamax, or whatever it was.

Doh - and just when I'd got my first hundred and was looking forward to registering with the 100 club.

Ah well - fair enough. From what I read Tony and Godfrey have given sterling service for aeons and well deserve their "retirement".

Is there any news of who is taking this over?

Hi,
Sorry - have been away for a long time.

We like the Beechwood, a B&B at Postbridge - good value and friendly and pretty central.

Two slightly different views then - that's interesting. However you both seem to agree that it should be made less of an eyesore. Boo - do you think it's the presence or absence of a stamp that makes the difference to whether you would remove it or not?

.... Hmm. I've never seen a camel in flip flops :?
Anyway thanks. So if I manage a trip to Dartmoor in March or thereabouts - there'll still be some boxes to look for :) .
That's made my day!

I agree - it could be further - but I wish it was nearer.

Anyway - what do I do next time I do manage to get there and find a tupperware full of soggy bits of paper?? (see above)

About 300 miles.
Have done it for a weekend - but it's a killer :? . So realistically I have to wait until I get a few days off.
Hoping now to go again next Spring - we've caught the bug. Too many other committments before then.

Boxes on Bonehill

Hi,
I'm new here too. We were on Bonehill a couple of weeks ago and found two very nice boxes - Curious Cats and Paces Outcrop. I think the latter is a new one.
Cheers,

Advice for next time?

Hi, I have wanted to try letterboxing for years - ever since my Dad, who retired to Devon, told me about these mysterious boxes that people hid on the moor. At last I have had a chance - and loved it. So although we live a long way from Dartmoor - we'll be back! But I'd like some advice please. Apar...
