Re: Have ewe seen this - Devonport Leat

Thanks for the reply, and apologies for the delay! I kept going out on the moors and thinking "must log into the letterboxing forum", but by the time I got home I had forgotten! :( I visited the area of this letterbox today (just out walking the dog), and it is still there. Thinking about ...

Re: Have ewe seen this - Devonport Leat

Where did you find the box? Perhaps that information might help others to identify the box / stamp. The subject line is the name of the box (as given in the book in the box). So it should be possible to just look up the name in the catalogue - if it is registered to be included. I don't have a rece...

Have ewe seen this - Devonport Leat

Hello, I recently came across this box. I have taken a copy of the stamp, but for my own record can anyone tell me if this is a registered box, WoM or charity box? The box had nothing indicating it had a registered number, and it's not listed in my Spring 2017 catalogue. (We can't escape when the cl...

Re: Royal Mail Deliveries - Wedlake Farm

Thanks for that. I noticed that the box has been sorted out - new book in place.

Royal Mail Deliveries - Wedlake Farm

Found the above box yesterday (by accident). The box had some water in it, and the book was completely soggy. It's not listed in the Spring catalogue, so I assume it is part of a charity walk.

Thanks for that! I was about to submit a post asking what was box 48917. I found it by chance. I see it is part of one of the new charity walks. Perhaps I should send them a donation since I have 'used' their stamp?? :?

Further to your question though. The ministry of defence have a list available online in pdf format of their 'stuff' in Okehampton Military Range. Locate it here: http://94.236.30.88/NR/rdonlyres/EBF59C8C-8B0E-4349-B40B-B6566B658959/0/Okehampton_Artillery_Range_Observation_Posts.pdf Thanks for this...

Box number 28 - 'Belstone' - is still listed in the catalogue.

Good for you on reinstating some of these old boxes though :)

Re: List 1 - 100

Hi, I have a list from No.1 to the latest box. I do have a couple of empty numbers and some numbers that were never used and numbers for boxes that were numbered twice. Noddy I'm curious as to how you obtained such a list? And why some numbers were not used. Ironically I was thinking the other day ...

Observation posts?

Hello, The OS stopped marking the Army Observation Posts (OPs) on their maps years ago. I thought I had kept an old map with them still marked on, apparently I did not :( I noticed a clue in the new catalogue that mentioned (I think!) OP16. However, I have no idea where OP16 is or indeed (almost) an...

List of boxes 1 to 100?

Hello, I feel that this may have been asked before, albeit a long time ago, but does anyone have a list of the letterboxes from 1 to 100 or some part of it? I imagine quite a few of them are no longer maintained at all, and no doubt gone, but I was thinking it might be nice (?) to try and get round ...
