The Avon Dam track is tarmac'ed now with lots of suitable box sites not too far off it.

There are public toilets at Shipley Bridge car park too.

I was there last week and almost got stuck rooting around inside it for a box.

It's quite small, dry and dark but your eyes adjust quickly.

It was a whole day event starting and finishing from a large tented point (near a pub!) anywhere on either the South or North Moor. Does this event still take place? It was probably 1995 and 1996 that I joined in. Only I can't find any mention of it anywhere online.

If you can get to the Meet on clock change day at Lee Moor Hall then you will be able to purchase charity walk clue sheets even if you haven't found your first 100 yet.

Lovely photos. You all look very happy despite the weather - not at all cross.

In addition to all the above I always take a torch, a small travel babychanging mat (insulation against the cold and damp when I stop for lunch etc!), a heavy duty fishing knife, first aid kit and ball of string.
