Was up at Saddle Tor today and found a number of boxes out in the open and a number (I think six in total) smashed. Given that some of the boxes were reasonably sturdy it looks to have been deliberate.
Anyway I've removed the debris and now have some damp damaged books, stamps and ink pads.
The ones with an owner identifiable are:
- Torquay Letterboxers
- Niamh, Kennford
- Rebekah, Godalming
If you are the owner or know the contact for the box please let me know.

It seems to be a real problem, we have come across a lot of empty box's and a lot waterlogged. There must be a fair number of people about who are stark raving mad to damage or destroy letterbox's. You would think that the yobs would stick to vandalism in the towns, but clearly they get everywhere.
