Compass cord?

Post by John »

Hi,

I want to replace the length of cord on my compass with something longer. I gather the cord is generally 'mini paracord' or 'nylon tether cord'. However I can't seem to find anywhere to buy it from. Does anyone know where I might get some?

Thanks,

John.

Compass cord?

Try the DIY stores - they sell various' cords' by length, diameter - i.e. the type used for light pulls in bathrooms etc.

Everyone has a photographic memory. My problem is I don't have any film.

Hey - has no one ever heard of string - can be bought almost all hardware, DIY, corner shops, £1 shops etc, etc. etc.
You could also buy a washing line and cut it to the required length, etc etc etc.

LOL

Why bother with a compass at all? I make do with a magnetised needle and a length of cotton...... 8)

The bigger DIY stores seldom have the cord you need (unless you look for light switch cord)
