Complete list of CHARITY WALKS FOR SALE - march meet 2017
Please note that these walks are out during the peak time for ground nesting birds so please take care when looking for boxes not to disturb them and if at all possible refrain from doing these walks until after 14/07/17. If you see a nest or a distressed bird please move away at once. ALL dogs should be on leads and under close control. If the walk is in any army ranges then please check to be sure that you are able to access the range on your chosen day. If anyone has a problem with a charity walk that you can not resolve with the seller, I am your next port of call. Email me on [email protected] and I will do my best to get things sorted for you.
50019 - 50034 Fur and Feather 2017. A walk of about 3.5 miles starting near Row Tor & out to East Mill Tor and back. This is in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. 50051 - 50063 Dartmoor Birds Letterbox Walk In aid of Porth-Emmet Bude) Explorer Scout Unit. Walk of about 3 miles in the Older Bridge, Crazywell Pool, Cramber Tor area. S.A.E. and cheque for £2.50 made payable to Bude Explorer Scouts to be sent to Kira Pollard, Treyeo Farm, Bridgerule, Holsworthy, Devon, EX22 7HA.
50067 - 50081 A Year of Events for Crohn's and Colitis Charity Walk. A walk of about 3 miles from the small car park at the end of the Yellowmead Farm track, passing north and east of Hollow Tor, then heading south east past the mast at North Hessary, towards the old railway line, turning west towards Foggintor Quarry and then north, passing Yellowmead Farm, back to the car park. The walk consists of 13 walk stamps plus a bonus stamp, and a starter stamp with the clue sheet. The stamps are based on fund raising events during the last year. 50083 - 50098 Old Time Transport in aid of the Chestnut Appeal for Prostate Cancer. Its A Man Thing 2.this walk is in aid of the prostrate cancer chesnut suite Derriford. An easy walk of approx 3 miles in the two bridges Littaford Tor and Longaford Tor area. There is a starter stamp, 14 stamps on the moor and a thankyou stamp in the Police Station Cafe at prince town . 50117 - 50131 Down in the Forest Series 3 Wild Flowers
In aid of Myeloma UK. A family walk of about 3 miles, starting out from Two Bridges alongside the West Dart River to the South of Wistman’s Wood, up and around Littaford Tor, returning South, walking alongside the wall and to the North of Crockern Tor. The walk consists of 13 walk stamps, plus a starter and a thank you stamp (in the Fox Tor cafe). The stamps are based on Wild Flowers. The walk will be on site from 25th March 2017 until 31st October 2017. 50099 - 50116 Topic of Cancer ‘Medieval Dartmoor’ Charity Walk A family walk of just over 3 miles in the area near Shelstone and Sourton Tors. This is the 4th walk put out by Tiverton Rotary Club to raise awareness and money for Topic of Cancer (reg.charity no. 1151079) which is funding cutting edge research into cancer immunotherapy. The walk starts from Prewley Moor and has 16 boxes including 4 bonus ones. They will remain on site until the end of October. 50147 - 50158 A Birds Eye View Of Dartmoor Series 14 An easy Spring Charity Walk of about 4km in aid of the PDSA.(Charity number 208217) .12 stamps in all .The walk starts at Yellowmead CP and goes up to Little Mis Tor and around the summit of Great Mis Tor . 50189 - 50205 Worldwide Cancer Research Walk 2017 - The Devil and Jan Reynolds A walk of around 6km for 12 stamps (plus 4 bonus boxes) around the Eylesburrow/Higher/Lower Hartor/Drizzlecoombe area in aid of Worldwide Cancer Research. The walk will be onsite until 31st October 2017.

50228 - 50239 POOLE HOSPITAL CHARITY – THE DORSET CANCER CENTRE – DAY CARE WARD LETTERBOX WALK SUMMER 2017 Cartoon Capers Part II A charity walk of about 2 miles around Top Tor & Pil Tor, consisting of 12 boxes in aid of Poole Hospital Charity – The Dorset Cancer Centre – Day Ward (Reg No 1058808).Walk starts from Harefoot Cross Car Park 73466 76756 (Do not start from Hemsworthy Gate.) 50242 - 50252 Dartmoor Legends. A walk of around two miles (suitable for children) in the Hound Tor – Greator area in aid of Berry Pomeroy School PFTA. There are 10 boxes depicting some of the legends associated with Dartmoor, plus a bonus box at the Hound Of The Basket Meals in the start / finish car park below Hound Tor.
